It is natural for people, to want to place some decorations/items at a grave. However, to ensure that this is done in a safe way that respects the needs of the entire community the following applies.
Items shall be kept to a minimum please.
To protect both our workers carrying out their duties in maintaining ground around the graves, and people who may be visiting the cemetery, no items shall be placed on the lawn area. All items shall be confined to concrete surrounding the headstone.
Glass, drink, food containers, sharp objects such as wire, metal which may deteriorate, and other breakables or loose items of any kind, which may cause a safety concern to the public or our workers, are banned in the cemetery and will be removed at the discretion of the Trustees to make the area safe.
No work maybe carried out on any grave without permission of the Trustees and all fees paid prior.
In accordance with the Victorian Goverment legislation, no pets or animal remains may be buried or disposed of anywhere on the land under the control of the Terang Cemetery Trust.
Please place all rubbish in the bins provided.
For Monumental masonry and inscription, you will need to contact a mason directly to complete the required work.
Lawn plaques must be ordered through the Cemetery Trust. Please contact the trust for a copy of the order form.
